Maths
The Maths Factor FREE for everyone (usually about £2 per week) to support childrens’ continued learning at home for the duration of the UK Schools closure period. We want to help you and your child as much as we can.
Oak National Academy is a new collection of high-quality lessons and online resources. Backed by the Government, it has been created in response to the coronavirus lockdown.
Our online classroom offers free access to great teachers, delivering video lessons, quizzes and worksheets. Available for both primary and secondary levels, it covers a range of subjects. All of the lessons are ordered so your child can learn along a clear plan. We’ll provide new lessons and resources each week.

Play Writing
In partnership with The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Oldham Theatre Workshop, the Heartwood Initiative have put together a series of workshops on play-writing. These are about half an hour long each and uploaded onto the Oldham Theatre Workshop website every Monday evening. By the end of these, students should be equipped with the tools they need to write their own play.
Radioblogging
Daily live radio show Monday to Friday 9:30am to teach children both at school and at home featuring @PieCorbett, @russellprue, @irockey & @DeputyMitchell.
A live blog with resources will support the activities being set.
Daily PE workout
Exercise is an amazing tool to help us feel happier and more energised.
The workouts will be fun and suitable for all ages and adults can get involved too.
You don't need any equipment, just click the picture above at 9am each morning for a 30-minute, fun workout.
How to use the lessons
Just follow these four easy steps…
- Click on the set of lessons for your child’s year group.
- Watch the video (either on your own or with your child).
- Find a calm space where your child can work for about 20-30 minutes.
- Use the video guidance to support your child as they work through a lesson.
