We are pleased to publish the Ofsted Inspection report following the Section 5 inspection which took place at Parkfields on 8th and 9th May 2024. This was the first full inspection of the school since 2012, which means the inspectors report on all four areas of the Ofsted framework - Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership and Management. This is also the first inspection for the school as part of the Pyramid Schools Trust and the first under the current framework.

We hope you enjoy reading the report; it is a tremendous validation of the school and the work that all the teachers and support staff do to ensure the very best education is provided for the pupils in our care. 

Some of the highlights include statements such as:

• 'Pupils are happy and safe at Parkfields and have positive relationships with adults.'
• 'Pupils get a lot of help with their wellbeing.'
• 'Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get strong support.'
• 'Pupils behave well and show calm and purposeful focus in lessons.'
• 'There is no culture of bullying.'
• 'Pupils enjoy the rich extra-curricular experience on offer.'
• 'The school has high standards for behaviour and attendance.'
• 'Governance is a strength...governors and leaders create a team ethos in the school.'

The Ofsted Inspectors praised our safeguarding procedures:

• 'Leaders work closely and tenaciously with local services to provide support for pupils and families who need it. Governors and the trust carry out regular checks on safeguarding in school.'
• 'Pupils know what to do if they have any concerns. They learn about topics such as online safety, healthy relationships and consent. They know how to keep themselves safe in and out of school, and online.'

This excellent outcome is down to the hard work and dedication of pupils, parents, governors and staff, and we are very grateful for the continued support we receive from the whole Parkfields community.
