Family & School Together
At Parkfields we are committed to listening and responding to the views and opinions of our parents as well as offering opportunities to provide information and guidance on relevant topics. We hold regular events across the year which enable families to come into the school for different reasons - SEND Coffee & Cake, parent consultations, celebration events and information events.
SEND Coffee & Cake
These sessions run after school from 3.45-4.45 by Mrs Owen, our SENDCO. The sessions often feature a guest speaker and provide information and a forum for discussion.

Parent Consultations
Throughout the year, there are various opportunities to meet with your child's teachers either online or in person.

Celebration Events
Throughout the year we hold various events which enable our school community to celebrate together. Examples of these include:
- The Christmas Tree Festival
- Christmas Concert
- Science Fair
- Arts' Festival
- Sports Day
Information Events
As well as celebratory events we offer a range of events to share information with families. Examples of these include:
- Orientation meetings for each year group at the beginning of each academic year
- Year 6 SATs Information evening
- Residential Trips - pre-trip information evenings
Family Forum
Family Forum meetings usually take place every half term. The Family Forum is a platform for parents to express their suggestions and ideas for improvements at the school. We are committed to working closely with parents to ensure they are completely satisfied with their child’s education and feel that their views and opinions are listened to and acted upon.
The aim of the forum is to obtain parents views, develop a strong partnership and to promote a collaborative educational atmosphere between children and home life and school.
