Religious Studies at Parkfields
Parkfields follows the SACRE – agreed syllabus.
RS at Parkfields allows our children to develop a thoughtful, reasonable and spiritual response to the world around them. Every person, growing up, finds their own values and beliefs by which to live and the teaching of religion at Parkfields promotes this journey.
The place of religion in the modern world is controversial and challenging so therefore it is vital to help our children develop their own ideas and ways of living, to develop skills to hlep them be reasonable about belief and religions and to learn to be respectful to those who see the world differently.
The teaching of RS introduces our pupils to the influences of faiths and beliefs over thousands of years and for billions of people. We encourage our students to always:
Listen, contribute, discuss, debate, share, explore and develop an understanding.
