Freya: the game we played on Wednesday was exciting! We started off strong and had some great plays with some amazing catches from Evie and Idris, which really helped us
Esme : but unfortunately as the game went on the other team started to gain momentum and we couldn't keep up. Unfortunately we ended up losing 18 and a half to 12
Olivia : it was a definetly a disappointment but we still played our hearts out! We really wished you could have seen the amazing bowls from Hannah and Evie,we are so proud of everyone that played Hannah, Evie, Liv, Freya, Esme, Lola, Isabelle, Luenna, Lily and Idris.
Rounders match against Holywell- May 2022

On Wednesday after school year 7 and 8’s had rounders matches against Holywell.
Our team, year 7’s, started batting first. Our first batter, one of 8 Niamh Bunker, was
unfortunately caught out with her first bat.
When it got to my turn to bat 4 of us were out, 4 were in.
After our 24 good balls it was our turn to field, we started off well when their first batter hit the ball and it was immediately caught by Charlotte. After Holywell’s 24 good balls it was half time.
After an encouraging team talk from Mrs Ward we came back with a positive mindset to win.
We kept on battling. After great fielding, bowling, batting, catching and throwing from players : Tamsin, Niamh, Evie, Sophie, Izzy, Shayla and Lucia, Holywell finished their 24 good balls and the whistle blew.
We went over to our coach Mrs Ward and asked the score. We were on 10 and a half, they were on 16 - we had lost.
Well done to all the girls that played: Tamsin, Niamh, Evie, Sophie, Izzy, Shayla and me.
