There is a strong focus on  'Art and Design' at Parkfields with many examples on display in our gallery and around the school. 'Masterpiece of the Moment' trophies are awarded for exceptionally skilful pieces of work. 

The Parkfields Arts' Festival is an integral part of Parkfields and the wider community. The event, which is organised and run by the Year 8 Arts' Leaders, is held every summer. The Art department and  Arts Leaders help to run a whole school art exhibition, fashion show, numerous competitions, clubs and craft making workshops which are sold to raise money for charities and school funds. All year groups are invited to enter the annual entrepreneurial competition.

The highlight of Year 7 is our trip to the National Gallery in London.

Over the years we have run workshops from visiting fashion designers, ceramicists, abstract artists and portrait artists. Artists that are ex-pupils and most recently a finalist from the television series - The Great British Pottery Throw Down. 

The amazing efforts that are put into the termly enrichment tasks by the children, are showcased around school and via the website and social media.
