World Book 2nd March 2023

‘Movie and Munchies’ 28th February 2023

As part of our celebrations towards World Book Day, Year 5 watched ‘Matilda – the Musical’ as an afterschool treat. Year 5 used the book ‘Matilda’ during some WBD activities in school.

Year 6- A Christmas Carol

Bah Humbug! Year 6 pupils were treated to a rousing performance of A Christmas Carol; courtesy of The Globe Players. This was a great winter warmer to kickstart a week of festive celebrations!

Year 5 Oak

5 Oak wrote letters to HRH Queen Elizabeth II for her Platinum Jubilee. We waited for a reply.

We received the reply the week of her passing. We feel quite honoured to have received a reply!

Key Stage 3

Year 7- The Tempest

On Friday 12th May , Y7 pupils in Mrs Minshull’s class rehearsed and performed scenes from The Tempest, bringing the play to life!

World book Day 2023

To mark World Book Day on 2nd March 2023, staff and pupils created a ‘Recommended Reads’ notice board in the school library.

Congratulations to Lily and Charlotte for being awarded the much coveted Headteacher's Commendation Certificate (3rd Febrauary) for their outstanding efforts in English.

Wadham Colleage-Oxford-Year 8

Another fantastic experience - Miss Cooper took a group of Y8 pupils to Wadham College, Oxford for a talk, tour, academic taster and question and answer session with their student ambassadors- they even got a delicious lunch!
