Our first cross curricular day of 2019/20 was 'Japan' - linking in with the Rugby World Cup and timed perfectly as England prepared to contest the final the following weekend. The school was decorated with flags, lanterns and all things traditionally Japanese. The staff and children dressed in line with the theme and participated in mixed house and mixed age groups. The learning was full and varied and included, earthquake proofing buildings, Top Trumps, Sudoku, Olympic logo design, travel guide production, karate, haiku, Japanese cuisine, Hokusai's Wave and tsunamis.
