James Bond - 75 years - May 2023

James Bond turned 75 years old in 2023 and we thought this would be a fantastic opportunity to challenge stereotypes with our pupils. 

Pupils were invited to dress as a character from one of the stories or linked to aspects of engineering, design, music or challenging stereotypes- many took up the challenge!

During the day pupils were involved with activities including; Code breaking and deciphering, exploring media through art and design, a STEM activitiy to engineer, design and make a parachute, Investigating how stereotypes can change characters, examining how the world has changed in the past 60 years, Mixology- the science of food tasting and product designing a mocktail, Investigating spy acitivites relating to science- blood spatter, finger printing, chromatography, Investigating the use of Digimaps, an Escape room and much, much more...

In addition, pupils were chosen by lottery to attend a 'Top-Secret Mission' at Cloud9 leisure in Hemel Hempstead.
