The children worked in mixed age classes and will share their learning with children in their house - Ash, Beech, Cedar and Oak.
As part of the day, pupils, staff and volunteers were invited to dress according to the theme to enable them to immerse themselves in the activities. This could be linked to the flag, country, or the people.
The activities on offer included the following workshops:
- P.E: Kho Kho tag
- R.S: Festivals and colour & Gods and Symbols
- Art: Traditional crafts and jewellery making
- Food Tech: vegetable samosas
- History: Famous people
- Science: Shadow Puppet making
- Dance: Bollywood workshop
- RM Tech: Kite making
- English: The Jungle book
- Maths: Strategy Game
- French: Fance in India (Pondicherry)
