Message from the Friends of Parkfields
"Every parent/carer who has a child at the school is considered a member of the 'Friends'. Some people choose to get more involved organising and helping with its fund raising events, but one of the most important things you can do as a 'Friend' and a parent/carer is to support as many events as possible by coming along and enjoying yourself.
The 'Friends' run many fun events ranging from summer fairs for the children to things the whole family can enjoy e.g. quizzes. All of these events provide valuable extra income for the school. This money is spent buying additional equipment and resources for the school, or enhancing the school experience in other ways. We welcome people who want to join the committee or help out regularly, but if you can only help out for a little as an hour at one event, we'd still love to hear from you."
100 Club
Last year was another successful year of fundraising as we managed to sell nearly all 100 numbers for the 100 Club, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support.
If we did sell all 100 numbers the total monthly prize money would be £125 per month, split into 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. The idea for the 100 Club is that you buy a number between 1 and 100, which belongs to you for the year. Each month there is a draw in assembly and the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize are announced. Half the money raised is given in prize money and the other half goes towards school funds. The cost of the whole year will be £30 per number, which works out at £2.50 per month.
If you currently have a number and would like to keep the same number, please fill in the form below. If you would like to join the 100 Club, please put up to three number choices on the form below and return the form to the school office addressed to Tamsin De Filippo. We will do our best to allocate a number of your choice, but it is done on a first come first served basis. Thank you very much for your continued support.
