Careers - Whipsnade Zoo
A number of our Year 7 and 8 children had a special workshop at Whipsnade Zoo to learn about Careers. They had a talk on the qualifications needed to achieve in order to do certain jobs at the zoo. They then had a hands-on session. where they analysed x-rays, tested water conditions and created toys for the animals to prevent boredom.
It was a really interesting experience and the children had the opportunity to ask a host of questions.
National Gallery Visit - Year 7
Pupils had the opportunity to experience first-hand some of the paintings they had been studying. They were transfixed by their Tour Guide and produced some amazing pictures of great artworks!

Global Radio
Children from all year groups went to Global Radio in Milton Keynes to learn how a radio station operates in preparation for Parkfields own station opening. The children met a number of staff who explained their role in the overall operation. The roles included manager, sales executive, creative, engineer, producer and news reader.
In addition, the children split into two teams to write, edit, produce and record their own 30-second advertisement using the studio equipment. You can listen to their work by clicking below.
