Oceans Day - 2022
Our second cross curricular day of the academic year - Oceans Day.
The Arts' Leaders along with Mrs Horn and Mrs Philllips prepared 3D decorations for the dining hall and during the day groups of children helped make 3D art for our art installation. The staff and children participated in mixed house and mixed age group activities.
The learning was full and varied and included; 3D art work, Ocean escape room, sea creature origami, Our Plastic Problem- Oceans in the future (poster making), Coding- plastic pollution in the ocean, Science experiment-density of liquids (making lava lamps), Legend of Atlantis- Design a city, Ocean poetry, P.E- raft building, cross the raging river & ocean fishing and many more things. In addition, groups of children were selected to go to Whipsnade Zoo. A great day was had by all!
